Taking inspiration from childhood and family memories, my work is constructed around the idea of linking fictional and non-fictional accounts of everyday American life, inviting the viewer to acknowledge both familiar and new perspectives. Drawing on one's own fondest and most vulnerable memories to create a portal bridging the familiarity of historical occurrences with contemporary representation. These nostalgic memories illustrate nuanced occurrences that amplify and enhance the importance of cultural perspectives across generations.
