Lid on Lining

Silver lining to me means capturing a story and finding something positive. When looking at my bowl, I was struck by the beauty of the wood grain, and remembered that grain tells the story of a tree’s growth through different seasons. Wet seasons or dry seasons will alter the grain design, recording the tree’s life experience. “Lid on Lining” puts a top over the wood grain story, capturing it. Along the bowl’s rim is a silver lining.
