Johab Silva lives and works in Washington, D.C. metro area since 2008, and he is one of the founding members of Kicker Collective. His undergraduate and graduate education is from the Corcoran College of Art and Design, and he's currently a MFA candidate at Maine College of Art. Silva’s ongoing research explores themes practice, time, endurance, participation, net-art, and environmental issues. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Transformer Gallery, Miami Art Palace, and the Santo Andre Museum of Art. Recent exhibitions include Cody Gallery, KunstHaus Gallery, Touchstone Gallery, and The Kreeger Museum. His work has been reviewed in The Washington Post, Sculpture Magazine, Cruzeiro do Sul Newspaper, and many other media venues.
