My recent work began taking shape in early 2020, a time when I was already struggling with anxiety over politics, global warming, racial and economic injustice. Then Covid hit and everything became more intensified. “Get into my orbit; I’ll distract you from yours” incorporates a retired bandsaw blade, common wood bowl and leftover house paint. Combining these disparate materials addresses my desire to find joy and delight in perilous times. I am learning to work and thrive amidst the uncertainty.
