On Top of the World

On Top of the World is part of my current project ARTidotes presented at the Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery, January-June, 2021. This piece is inspired by 25 years of the gallery’s mission of promoting art as a dynamic, vibrant and restoring instrument for all.

The use of bubblegum pink is a continuation of my infatuation with the aesthetical and conceptual aspects of the color. The stylized shapes and minimalistic approach respond to childhood memories and my over 15 years of experience as a teaching artist.

I am honored to join this anniversary by contributing an art piece that celebrates the sparkle of life, the healing power of art and its ability to connect communities around the world.
